RMIT Design Studies: Renounce Sugar, just say NO!

(A)Provocation: Say NO

You can say no, it needs personal strength, and step out of your conventional/ normal ways of doing things. In this exercise you have to give up many things. Your success will be in demonstrating an effective departure from dominant discourse and in showing a ‘renunciation’ of worldly possessions.

I Kathryn here by pledge that I will renounce sugar.

How to say no to something? Well first you need a reason as to why you want to do it.

I have many reasons: my health, anti-consumerism , saving the environment from un-nessessary packaging, effecting the supply chain of sugar filled products and all the energy used to create them ( I will add to this list as I discover new reasons)

By renouncing sugar I will be subjecting myself to a big lifestyle change and force much more self awareness on my day to day consummer habits. I will also subject the people around me to my cause and hopefully in some way or another influence a much wider change to peoples consumption.

The structure of this blog will be a journal of my struggles to avoid suger and the solutions that I discover on my journey. Please comment with any suggestions that you have or even better- join me!
